All things considered, the Jalapeno pepper is a pretty mild contender in the hot pepper arena.

Truth be told, four year old great niece, Violet has been known to enjoy Sweet Jalapeno Treats on crackers slathered in cream cheese.

Obviously palates differ, so start with a little bit. Many people typically fearful of hot or spicy food enjoy these treats!

Jalapenos appear on the Scoville Table as having between 2,500- 8,000 heat units.

A bell pepper has 0 (zero) heat units compared to a habanero pepper registering in at 100,000 - 350,000 units.

Cultivation and seasonal variances can alter the Scoville heat rating of any pepper.

The Story...

I am a 60-something-year-old woman who has spent the past 40 years in management positions in non-profit organizations and private sector companies.

I am also an avid "home canner" who has between 150 – 300 jars of home canned goods in my pantry at any given time.

Over the years, I have developed a CULT-LIKE following of family and friends who enjoy the treats from "RANDI'S PANTRY".

Although some people visit the Social Security office when they turn 62, I decided to launch my own food business to share my favorite recipes with you!
